Above A couple of spotlights and borrowed light from the hanging lantern in the adjacent gateway (partially seen) provide all the illumination needed for this inviting dining scene. The tranquil ornamental pond catches the reflection of the white-washed pillars and provides a cooling element.
Above right A large urn with floating candles adds atmosphere to this fine dining scene, but most of the actual illumination comes from the custom-crafted steel chandelier designed by Yasuhiro Koichi. The sound of water is ever present, as the textured wall in the background houses a water cascade.
